Callisto House Budget Card

The objective here is a supply of training materials & business tools for the homeless of Callisto House. This is part and parcel to the Homeless Better Business Leadership Development Course, Callisto House’s HBBLDC.

Get the homeless able to evaluate the financial health of a local business; then they will start to have the wherewithall to enter the field of business consulting.

To support a secure, spiritual, safety-net solution, a 2.5% poor tax is an ongoing income liability on individuals & businesses in the local parish community.

I converted my Seven Pillars of financial health into a composite table so you can track both time periods of your bimonthly budget and also take a snapshot of your Pillar values, demonstrating your financial health, at the end of the month. I have ordered a bunch of biz cards and note pads, so there is a physical record.

I have also grouped the categories together, and color coded, for better readability. We have several stitchings between the Profit & Loss and the Cash Flow: in the Profit&Loss we have separate fields for Debt payments and CC payments, which collapse into Debt&CC payments, on the Cash Flow; we will also have the 2 expense fields on the Profit&Loss: extras & disposable, and combine to one field, Disposable, in the Cash Flow.

Whereas, we will also have the reverse collapse, where the Emergency and Investments fields, of the Cash Flow, collapse into the savings&emerg field, of the Profit&Loss. All collapse into the Balance Sheet.

The interesting thing about having two arbitrary columns: 1st & 2nd, is that they can be tasked for a variety of uses.

  • 1st: Budget field; 2nd: Actual field.
  • 1st: Actual; 2nd: Percent Changed over last month.
  • 1st: 1st half of the month; 2nd: 2nd half.

This card represents all three common business statements, as well as a credit report and an asset/income listing:

With this budget biz card, each month can be recorded…
